Then air movers and dehumidifiers sized to basement moisture loads, which run higher than upstairs spaces. Active drying on a basement typically runs four to seven days, monitored daily until materials hit equilibrium.

What happens to a finished

Saturated drywall comes out twelve inches above the saturation line, along with soaked insulation, wet base trim, and pad that cannot be saved.
Contents get inventoried. Salvageable items move to a dry area on drop cloths, unsalvageable items get photographed before disposal, and pack-out with storage is available when the scope warrants it.
